On May 10, USJE local 50081 (Winnipeg) held an extremely successful mobilization event focusing on Operational Stress Injuries. Dr. Sarah J. Chaulk, Assistant Professor in the department of Clinical Health Psychology, University of Manitoba and Pamela Holens, Clinical Director at the Operational Stress Injury Clinic at Deer Lodge Centre were the keynote speakers.
The event was well attended by 30 USJE Winnipeg members. These members indicated that the information provided by both guests and USJE RVP, David Neufeld, was extremely helpful.
Local President, Jeff Sandelli, and Regional Vice President, David Neufeld, are planning other site visits across Manitoba and Northwest Ontario to continue talking to members about Operational Stress Injuries and other key topics.
